Hey there! I wanted to share with you all about our first sale. As you may not know, Lady D Beachwear has been in business for 2 years. We started Lady D to support our non-profit for schools in Jamaica. We are partnered with a primary school in St. Catherine parish and are committed to making a difference. In the past we came across so many "no's" when seeking monetary donations to fund our projects. We didn't given up or in, and continued to brainstorm on ideas to support the children.
In the beginning, like most businesses, we had a few challenges. We launched 3 months before the pandemic. I know what you're thinking, "how in the world did we manage?" I can remember the excitment to finally take a leap of faith and not rely on others to make a difference in humanity. But of course we pushed through in a mighty way. We thought of pursuing the idea of swim cover ups because we love to travel and wanted to stand out from the crown at the beach. When we launched, most of our sales are online but the very first sale was in person among our family and friends. We hosted a party and everyone came out to support. For anyone who may need to hear this, never give up because you never know where the support is gonna come from. But the moment you give up is when you miss your breakthrough.
